Ever since its debut in India, the Honda Activa has continued to dominate the automatic scooter market in India and has always offered a great package to buyers. In the last few years, the Japanese bikemaker is aggressively taking on its rivals and is regularly updating the Activa every couple of years. While the present iteration of the scooter, the Activa 6G was introduced in 2020, it is expected that the next-gen Honda Activa 7G might soon make its Indian debut. 2022 Honda Activa 7G Next-Gen

From what we know so far, the Activa 7G will boast a new and more aggressive design with sharper styling cues. We might also see a new headlight design and new sharp LED tail lights. The current iteration of the scooter gets a bold and muscular design. Needless to say, the fit-finish levels and quality levels are expected to be impressive while we might also get interesting colour shades with the Activa 7G.

The Honda Activa 6G was launched with a long list of updates including a new engine. The upcoming Activa 7G is expected to get the same 109 cc BS6 petrol engine that is offered with the present iteration of the scooter. This engine, in its current avatar, makes 7.7 bhp and 8.8 Nm of peak torque while it comes mated to a CVT transmission. With the launch of the BS6 variant, the Activa 6G was offered with a fuel-injected engine for the first time that boasted strong performance and impressive refinement levels. The claimed fuel economy of the Honda Activa 7G is expected to be maintained above 45 kmpl. The performance figures however might get better.

On the features front, the upcoming Activa 7G might feature full LED lamps, a digital instrument console, fuel injection, mobile connectivity, new alloy wheels, an external fuel-filler cap, a combined braking system, and a side stand engine kill switch. Honda is yet to share more details about the official launch details and the official launch date of the upcoming Activa 7G. The 2022 Honda Activa 7G price is expected to start from Rs 75,000-80,000 (ex-showroom) and we won’t be surprised to see multiple variant options for the buyers to opt from.
