Having said this, the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is powered by a new 1.0L, three-cylinder, K10C petrol engine that churns out 67 hp. It comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT unit. A CNG version of the car is expected to soon go on sale in the market and will be offered only with a manual gearbox. For those wondering, the new Maruti K10 boasts a claimed fuel economy of 24.39 kmpl for manual and 24.90 kmpl for automatic versions.

In addition to this, the new Maruti Suzuki Alto is now underpinned by the modular Heartect platform that is also utilised in other Maruti cars like the new Celerio, WagonR, and the Swift.
