While Honda City is ready to receive a mid-cycle update next month, the Hyundai Verna, which is loved for the way its look, will soon be launching in a new-gen rendition in India. 2023 Hyundai Verna – Sharper Than Ever
The new-gen model utilises the company’s Parametric design language. As a result, it will be distinctive in comparison to all of its rivals. Undoubtedly, it will stand out from the rest. A wide LED bar is what it gets on the nose, while headlamps sit in the bumper. A large gaping grille accentuates the nose. Over to the side, busy-design for rim, long wheelbase, and tapering roof line catches attention. The window line drops down rather sharply around the c-pillar. The tail uses a light bar, connecting angular tail lamps. On the whole, this will be a polarising design with enough to catch eyeballs.
2023 Hyundai Verna – Beefier Road Presence
Yes, the upcoming new-gen model will boast increased road presence. How? Well, with increased length and width, it will certainly be larger than the outgoing one. Hence, the 2023 Hyundai Verna will look more dominating on the road. The design will further complement this attribute of the sedan. The wheelbase will also be longer than the current-gen model.
2023 Hyundai Verna – Engine & Gearbox
The Verna will now miss out on an oil burner as an option. The sedan will, however, be offered with two engine choices – 1.5L NA petrol motor and 1.5L turbo-petrol. The former is borrowed from the outgoing model with 115 PS and 144 Nm as its peak output, and it gets two gearbox options – 6-speed MT and IVT. Furthermore, the 1.5L turbocharged motor will dish out close to 160 PS and over 260 Nm of max torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT, depending on the consumer’s requirement.
2023 Hyundai Verna – Spacious & Tech-laden Cabin
With increased wheelbase, the cabin space will be in abundance on the 2023 Hyundai Verna. Also, it will offer increased legroom on the rear bench, which might come with more features this time, including rear sun shades. The feature list will also include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and an all-digital instrument cluster on the new-gen Verna. A premium Bose sound system, along with Bose sound system could be a part of the package. Features like ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, wireless phone charger will be carried over.
2023 Hyundai Verna – Launch Date & Expected Price
The 2023 Hyundai Verna is confirmed to launch on March 21. It is expected to carry a starting price of close to Rs 11 lakh, ex-showroom. Once launched, it will rival the likes of Honda City, VW Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz as the most powerful car in the segment.
