Citroen made its Indian debut with the launch of the C5 Aircross in the country and has been ever since working aggressively to take on the rivals in the market. The brand recently launched the new facelift iteration of the C5 Aircross in India at a starting price of Rs 36.67 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The new C5 Aircross challenges the rivals like the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, and the Skoda Kodiaq. Design
With the launch of the new facelift model, the C5 Aircross now gets an updated front fascia that is largely dominated by a new single-piece headlamp design and a new bumper complemented by a new and more elegant grille in the centre. The double Chevron logo is placed exactly in the centre of the grille. The new bumper gets a cleaner design with block-like design elements and a new faux silver skid plate. The new front design is also said to improve the aerodynamics of the SUV.

The side profile however looks familiar but does get new R-18 alloy wheels. Move to the rear and you will notice that the SUV now gets updated tail lamps with rectangular lighting elements and a darkened finish. The Citroen C5 Aircross colour options include – Pearl White, Perla Nera Black, Cumulus Grey and new colour called Eclipse Blue.
Updated Cabin
Inside, the new C5 Aircross is offered with a new dashboard layout that now boasts a new free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, horizontal AC vents and a number of other changes that give it a fresh look. The centre console now gets a new toggle switch to change the gears while you also get a new rectangular button for the drive modes. The sliding second-row seats have been retained and are offered with better padding for additional comfort. Likewise, you also get a new upholstery design with the new C5 Aircross.

Features
The features on offer with the new Citroen C5 Aircross include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, hands-free tailgate, hands-free parking, six airbags, ESC and traction control. It also gets many other features like auto-dimming IRVMs, push-button start, digital instrument console, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and more.

Engine, Gearbox and Performance
Powering the new C5 Aircross facelift is the same 2.0L diesel engine that churns out 177 hp and 400 Nm while it comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter that channels power to the front wheels. The claimed fuel economy figures stand at 17.5 kmpl.In the global markets, this SUV is also offered with 1.5L diesel and petrol-hybrid powertrain options.
