For starters, the new Maruti Fronx is based on the same platform as the Baleno hatchback and boasts an upright stance and bold looks. The Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger on the other hand are based on the same platform and offer strong suspension setup and driving dynamics. For those wondering, the Nissan Magnite is 3994 mm in length, 1758 mm in width, and 1572 mm in height. The new Maruti Fronx will be offered with two engine options – 1.2L NA petrol and 1.0L Turbo Petrol. The 1.2L NA petrol engine churns out a peak power output of 90 PS while the maximum torque output stands at 113 Nm. This engine will be offered with both 5-speed manual as well AMT gearbox options. The second engine will be the 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a peak power output of 100 PS and maximum torque output of 149 Nm. This engine is offered with either a 5-speed MT and 6-speed AT gearbox option. The performance from both engines is strong and impressive.

The Nissan Magnite is also offered with two engine options – 1.0L NA petrol and 1.0L Turbo petrol. The peak power and torque output from the 1.0L NA petrol engine stand at 72 PS and 96 Nm respectively. The turbocharged engine on the other hand delivers a maximum power and torque output of 100 PS and 160 Nm respectively.
