The Aprilia Storm 125 rivals the scooters like the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis 125, and Yamaha Ray ZR 125 in the market.
Aprilia India announced that the Aprilia Storm 125 disc variant in India will be discontinued from July 2022 onwards. The Aprilia Storm 125 is currently offered in two trim options – Drum Brakes and Disc Brakes. The Aprilia Storm 125 Drum brake variant is priced from Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India. This variant is currently the most affordable Aprilia scooter in India. Here are all the details that you should check out if you are also planning to buy a new performance scooter in India.
The Aprilia Storm 125 BS6 disc variant made its Indian debut in the Indian market in 2020 and offered a more capable version of the scooter for buyers looking for better performance. The brand however introduced ABS later. The Aprilia Storm 125 is powered by a 124.45 cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 9.92 hp and 9.7 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is paired with a CVT transmission and offers impressive performance and NVH levels. The drum brake variant is offered with a Combined Braking System (CBS) and boasts impressive dynamics and high-speed stability. The suspension setup consists of hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear.

Having said this, it is worth noting that the TVS Storm 125 is based on the same chassis as the Aprilia SR 125 but gets smaller 12-inch wheels. These R-12 wheels are shod with Vee Rubber tires. The Standard Aprilia SR 125 rides on larger R-14 wheels. On the design front, the Aprilia Storm 125 features a simple and subtle design language and has a compact footprint, thus making it a great everyday commuter. The scooter is available with a boasts features like a twin-pod instrument console while it gets a 6-lite fuel tank as standard. The brand offers five color options for the Aprilia Storm 125 – Red, White, Black, Yellow, and Blue. While the Aprilia Storm 125 is the entry-level scooter in the brand’s line-up, the buyers can also opt for other offerings like the range-topping SXR 160.
The brand is also offering a number of other highly competent offerings in the Indian market that include scooters like Aprilia SXR-160, Aprilia SXR-125, Aprilia SR 160 Race, Aprilia 160 Carbon, Aprilia SR 160, and Aprilia SR 125. In addition to this, other Aprilia performance bikes like the Aprilia RS 660, Aprilia Tuono 660, Aprilia RSV4 E5, Aprilia RSV4 Factory E5, Aprilia Tuono V4 E5, and the Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory E5. The brand recently updated the SR 125 and SR 160 with a new headlight design. a digital speedometer, and funky color options. The SR 125 is priced from Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
