The first-generation BMW X7 was released in India on 25 July, 2019. It is the company’s largest SUV. In fact, it is 5,151mm long and has a generous 3,105mm wheelbase. The massive SUV is designed in the typical X family style, but with a touch of elegance. Apart from that, the X7 has BMW Laserlight with selective beam and adaptive headlights, an aluminum running board, BMW Individual roof rails, an electronically controlled split tailgate, soft-closing doors, and 21-inch wheels.
The interior is in either Coffee and Black or Cognac and Black Vernasca leather. Furthermore, Sensatec synthetic leather and Velour floor mats were used by BMW. In addition, there are two 12.3-inch screens with BMW Live Cockpit Professional and electronically operated front seats with ventilation and heating functions.
The SUV comes with two engine options from BMW. The first is a 2,993cc inline six-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine with 261bhp and 620 Nm of torque. Second, the top-of-the-line M Sport gets a 2,998cc six-cylinder bi-turbo petrol engine with 335bhp and 450Nm. Both are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
