So, here’s a list of fastest electric cars in India, along with their peak speeds and range.
Tesla’s Model 3
In the United States, the Tesla Model 3 is offered with three electric powertrain options: Standard Plus, Long Range, and Performance.
It is slated to make its debut in India in 2021. The Long Range and Performance variants include a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with stated ranges of 568 and 507 kilometres, respectively, while the former has a rear-wheel drivetrain with a claimed range of 423 kilometres on a single charge.
The Jaguar I-Pace
The Jaguar I-Pace features a 90kWh battery with a WLTP cycle range of 470 kilometres (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure).
It can reach a peak speed of 200 km/h. In India, it costs around 1.08 crore rupees. It can be completely charged in 12 hours using a 7.4kWh charger. It is offered in three models: S, SE, and HSE, all of which have a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 4.8 seconds. A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as dual-zone climate control, are standard.
Mercedes-Benz EQC
The Mercedes-Benz EQC features an 80kWh battery, a NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) range of 450 kilometres, and a peak speed of 180 kilometres per hour. It costs around 1.04 billion Indian rupees.
The 50kWh rapid charging allows the Benz EQC to be charged from 10% to 90% in mere 90 minutes. It is only available in a single 400 4 MATIC model with a 0-100kmph acceleration time of 5.1 seconds. This vehicle’s primary features include 12-way power-adjustable seats and auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors.
Hyundai Kona Plug-In Hybrid
With a peak speed of 167kmph, the Hyundai Kona Electric is currently India’s fastest electric car. It will be the country’s first 100% electric SUV, as well as the fastest electric car in India, with a peak speed of 167 Kmph.
Hyundai Kona Electric features a battery capacity of 39.2kWh, a range of 452 kilometres, and a charge time of 6 hours and costs between 22 and 28 lakhs INR. The Audi E-Tron will only be offered with one battery pack: 95kWh (360PS/561Nm with Boost up to 408PS/664Nm). It will have a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.
The E-Tron has a combined WLTP-certified range of up to 484 kilometres and can be charged in 8.5 hours using an 11kW AC home charger. It has a charging capacity of up to 150kW DC fast charging. The e-Tron will be available on July 22. The pricing range is thought to be between Rs 1.10 crore and Rs 1.20 crore.
Tata Nexon EV
The Tata Nexon EV has a 30.2kWh battery and can go from 0 to 100kmph in 9.9 seconds. It has a peak speed of 120 kilometres per hour and a range of 312 kilometres.
It takes 8.5 hours to charge from 10% to 90% with a conventional 15 AMP connection, and 60 minutes to charge from 0% to 80% with a fast-charging device. The Tata Nexon EV costs between 12 and 14 lakh INR. It comes with an 8-year/1.6-lakh-kilometer guarantee on the battery and engine, as well as smart driving features.
eVerito by Mahindra
The Mahindra eVerito EV’s battery capacity is 21.2 kWh. It has a peak speed of 86 kilometres per hour and a range of 140 kilometres. It costs around 10-12 lakh INR and charges in 11-12 hours with a conventional connection, but it can charge up to 80% in 1.5 hours with rapid charging.

The battery capacity of Tigor EV is 21.5 kWh. It has a peak speed of 80 kmph and a range of 200 kilometres. It costs between 10 and 12 lakh INR and charges up to 80% in 1.5 hours with rapid charging.
