The Ola S1-rivalling Honda U-Go price in the Chinese market starts from Rs 87k for the base, Light variant
Honda recently patented its upcoming Honda U-Go in India, thus hinting at a launch in the coming months. The Japanese bikemaker is now considering expanding its portfolio in India with the launch of small and affordable electric scooters in the country. Other brands like Yamaha, Suzuki, and Hero MotoCorp are also said to be working on multiple electric two-wheelers for their Indian portfolio. The patent for the Honda U-Go was recently journaled and is expected to be the first Honda electric scooter in India. Here are all the details that we know so far about the upcoming Honda electric scooter.
Honda U-Go Variants
The Honda U-Go is available in two trim options – Light and Standard. The U-GO Light price in the Chinese market starts from Rs 87k while the more expensive Honda U-Go Standard is priced at Rs 93k. More details about the variants of the upcoming Honda U-Go however are yet to be shared by the brand.

Honda Electric Scooter Design And Dimensions
The U-GO features a minimalistic design language and a compact footprint that not only makes it look modern and futuristic but in addition to this, also makes it a great companion for everyday city commute. In terms of dimensions, the Honda U-Go measures 1790 mm in length, 680 mm in width, and 1080 mm in height. The wheelbase and the ground clearance on the other hand measure 1300 mm and 130 mm respectively.
Features And Equipment
On the features front, the Honda U-Go gets LED headlights and LED DRLs in addition to an LCD instrument cluster, anti-theft alarms, USB charging, 26-litre under-seat storage and connected tech. Other features also include battery swapping and a combined braking system.

Powertrain And Battery
The Honda U-Go electric scooter is driven by a BLDC motor which is available in two versions – 1200 watts and 800 watts. This motor draws its power from a removable 30Ah lithium-ion battery pack. The standard battery pack offers a total range of around 75 km on a single charge. The brand also offers a bigger battery pack that claims a range of up to 130kms on a single charge.
Rivals
The Honda U-Go will take on the rivals like the Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, Ather 450, and the Ather 450X. Having said this, the upcoming Honda electric scooter will also take on the upcoming rivals from brands like Yamaha, Suzuki, and more.
