Kia launched the new Carens a few months ago in India and is currently one of the most VFM and feature-rich offerings in the affordable seven-seater MPV segment in the market. In the global markets, the Hyundai Stargazer is available only with a single engine option that includes a 1.5L NA petrol engine that churns out 115 PS and 114 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the buyers can also opt for an optional CVT gearbox. In the Indian market, Hyundai might also offer the upcoming Hyundai Stargazer with a diesel engine. An option of turbo-petrol may also be offered with the new Stargazer in India.

The Kia Carens is offered with three engine options that include a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.4L turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine. The 1.5L NA aspirated petrol churns out identical power and torque output as the Stargazer while the turbo petrol engine on the other hand delivers peak power and torque output of 140 PS and 242 Nm respectively.
