Keeway India launched the new SR125 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for buyers looking for a retro-styled premium bike in the 125cc segment. While the new SR125 is one of the most expensive bikes in the 125 cc segment, it does offer a strong exterior design and refined engine options. Here are all the details that you should check out about the new Keeway SR125 if you are planning to buy a new premium 125cc bike in the country.

Keeway SR 125 Design
The new SR125 boasts a retro design language that is complemented by road halogen headlights, a tear-dropped-shaped fuel tank, and compact side panels. Moreover, it also gets a single-pod digital display and a single-piece seat finished in tan brown colour. The rear section however gets a subtle design that is largely dominated by a tiny fender, round tail light and round indicators.

Keeway SR125 Engine And Performance
Powering the new SR125 is a 125cc, air cooled, single cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power output of 9.7 hp while the peak torque output stands at 8.2 Nm. This engine may not be as powerful as the Honda Shine 125’s powertrain but does offer impressive performance and strong refinement levels. For those wondering, the Honda Shine 125 boasts a peak power and torque output of 10.7 hp and 11 Nm respectively.

Hardware, Suspension, And Brakes
The new SR125 is underpinned by a single down tube frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and a 5-step adjustable twin shock absorber. The bike rides on 17-inch wire spoke wheels with dual purpose tyres. The braking duties are handled by 300 mm disc brakes at the front and 210 disc brakes at the rear. The weight of the bike on the other hand stands at 120 kg.

Colours And Rivals
The new Keeway SR125 is available in three colour options – Glossy Black, Glossy Red, and Glossy White. The bike will be available at all the Keeway dealerships in India and takes on the rivals like the TVS Raider, Honda Shine, Honda SP125 and Bajaj Pulsar 125.
