Mahindra XUV400 Vs Tata Nexon – Which One Should You Buy?
The Mahindra XUV400 EV is one of the best-looking SUVs in the market and is offered with many changes that differentiate it from the standard ICE powered variants. It continues to be based on the same platform that underpins the standard XUV300 but is longer in length. Having said this, the dimensions of the new XUV400 EV stand at 4200 mm in length, 1821 mm in width, and 1634 mm in height. The wheelbase on the other hand stands at 2600 mm.

The Tata Nexon EV also gets a number of changes to differentiate as an all-electric version of the Nexon EV in the market. The new Mahindra XUV400 EV is currently the Fastest Made In India electric vehicle and boasts a claimed 0-100 kmph time of 8.3 seconds, making it the fastest electric car in the segment. The new Mahindra UXv400 is offered in two versions – EC, and EL. Both these versions get the same electric motor that boasts a peak power and torque output of 148 bhp and 310 Nm of maximum torque. The EC version however gets a smaller 34.5 kWh battery pack that gives it a claimed range of 375 km on a single charge. The EL version on the other hand gets a larger 39.4 kWh battery pack that gives it a claimed range of 456 km on a single charge.

Having said this, it is offered in two versions – Prime and Max. The Tata Nexon EV Prime boasts a peak power output of 127 bhp and a maximum torque output of 245 Nm. This version gets a 30.2 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 312 km. The Tata Nexon EV Max gets a more powerful, 141 bhp motor that delivers a claimed torque output of 250 Nm. This version is offered with a 40.5 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 437 km.
