Maruti Suzuki recently launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 10.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is being offered in six variant options for the buyers. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be offered with two powertrain options and also boasts a long list of features and an extremely aggressive exterior design. Here are all the details you should check about the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the country.

Variants

Six variants of the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are currently on sale in the Indian market – Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+. The Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and the Alpha are only offered with a mild-hybrid petrol engine while the strong hybrid engine is only offered with Zeta+ and the Alpha+ variants. The buyers can also subscribe to the new Grand Vitara SUV at a monthly subscription fee of Rs 27,000 while the dual-tone variants of the SUV cost Rs 16,000 more. While the strong-hybrid variants of the new Grand Vitara are around Rs 50,000 more expensive than the Toyota Hyryder, the mild-hybrid variants undercut the Hyryder by Rs 20,000.

Powertrain

The new Maruti Grand Vitara will be offered with two petrol engine options. These include a 103 hp 1.5L K15C mild-hybrid engine that can be had with a manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The engine can also be had with an all-wheel-drive setup. The second engine happens to be the Toyota-sourced 92 hp 1.5L three-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine that has a combined output of 115 hp. This engine comes mated to an electric motor with a rated peak power setup of 79 hp while the peak torque stands at 141 Nm. It is offered with an e-CVT gearbox and boasts a claimed range of 27.97 kmpl on a single charge.

Features

The new Grand Vitara is offered with many features including a sunroof, digital instrument console, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging and a large touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features like steering mounted controls, push-button start, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, connected car tech, ESP, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags and front seat ventilation are also offered with the new Hyryder.
