With the demand for CNG cars rising in the country, most of the manufacturers are expanding and launching new CNG offerings in the market. Having said this, Maruti Suzuki India continues to offer the most extensive CNG portfolio for car buyers and recently launched the new S-Presso S CNG in India at a starting price of Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Here are all the details that you should know about the new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso S CNG in India including price, specs, features, powertrain options and more.
New Maruti Suzuki S-Presso S CNG Launched
For starters, the new S-Presso CNG was launched at a starting price of Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base LXi variant while the range-topping VXI variant is priced at Rs 6.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). For those wondering, the new Maruti S-Presso S CNG will be around Rs 95,000 more expensive when compared to the standard petrol versions. Likewise, the CNG variant can only be had with a manual gearbox while the petrol versions are offered with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options.

The new Suzuki S-Presso CNG is now offered with an updated new 1.0L K10C engine that churns out a peak power and torque output of 57 hp and 82 Nm respectively. In the petrol-only mode, this engine churns out a peak power and torque output of 65 hp and 89 Nm respectively. The fuel economy figures offered by the S-Presso CNG are also better than the previous-gen iterations and the brand claims that it will now offer a fuel economy of up to 32.73 km/kg. The Celerio CNG on the other hand continues to remain the most fuel-efficient model in India. While the petrol version is offered with a five-speed manual as well as automatic gearbox options, the CNG variant on the other hand is only offered with a manual gearbox.
The new S-Presso CNG boasts features like dual interdependent ECUs and an improved injection system for better air-fuel mixture in the engine. The overall safety has also been enhanced with new stainless steel pipes and joints to prevent leakage in the CNG structure and safety switches to cut off the engine while refuelling.
