The Tata Nexon rivalling XUV300 TurboSport is currently one of the most powerful SUVs in the country
Mahindra recently launched the new XUV300 TurboSport in India at a starting price of Rs 10.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new iteration of the XUV300 directly takes on the rivals like the Sonet X-Line and the Hyundai Venue N Line. In addition to a more powerful motor, the new XUV300 TurboSport also boasts updated looks and new colour options. If you are also planning to buy a new compact SUV soon, here are all the details that you should know about the newly launched Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport in India.
New 2022 Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport
To start with, the new XUV300 TurboSport now gets a new 1.2L three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that churns out 130 hp and 230 Nm of maximum torque. This engine, with the over-boost function, can deliver up to 250 Nm of peak torque output. It will however be only offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the brand claims a 0-60 kmph sprint time of just 5 seconds. In addition to this, this new motor features a 250 bar GDI fuel system that not only improves the performance but also helps it deliver impressive fuel economy figures.

To further improve the mileage figures, the XUV300 TurboSport will get a mild-hybrid start-stop system. This new version has a claimed fuel economy of 18.2 kmpl. For a quick comparison, this new motor is 20 hp and 30 Nm more powerful when compared to the older 1.2L turbo-petrol unit. For those wondering, the new XUV300 will continue to be offered with both the older engine options – 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel.
While the basic design language remains similar, the new XUV300 TurboSport gets a new gloss black grille with red inserts, a revised bumper styling and new Twin Peaks logo with blacked-out wing mirrors. It also gets four new colour options including dual-tone bronze with black roof, white with black roof, and black with white roof. The bronze colour shade is also available as a monotone colour option.

Move inside and you will notice that the SUV now gets an all-black theme with silver accents on the dashboard, centre console, and steering wheel. The pedals also get a new chrome finish while the range-topping versions will be offered with features like an electric sunroof, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto headlamps and wipers with leatherette upholstery.
On the safety front, the new XUV300 TurboSport will be offered with 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes and ESP with hill start assist. In India, it takes on the rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Tata Nexon. The test drives will start on October 10 while the bookings and deliveries will also start on the same day.
