The Ola S1 is the most affordable Ola electric scooter in the Indian market
Ola recently launched the new S1 electric scooter in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 99,999 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) on August 15 in its Mission Electric 2022 virtual event. The new Ola S1 is now positioned as the most affordable Ola electric scooter in India and offers a strong package to buyers. Here are all the details that you should check out about the new Ola S1 electric scooter in India.
2022 Ola S1 Electric Scooter
For starters, the new S1 electric scooter will boast a similar design language as the S1 Pro and will be characterised by clean body lines and a minimalist design. The dual LED headlamps along with funky paint schemes do offer a strong road presence to the Ola S1. For those wondering, the new Ola S1 will be offered in five colour shades – Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver. Needless to say, the fit-finish levels are impressive and the Ola S1 electric scooter does look premium and well-built.

Powering the new Ola S1 is a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This battery pack is claimed to boast a range of 141 km on a single charge (ARAI certified) while the True Range is said to be 128 km in Eco mode, 101 Km in Normal mode, and 90 km in Sports mode. Unlike the S1 Pro, the S1 electric scooter misses out on a Hyper mode.

For those wondering, the Ola S1 electric scooter gets a hyperdrive motor that delivers a peak power output of 8.5 kW(11.3bhp) and 58 Nm of maximum torque. The Ola S1 electric top speed is rated to be 95 kmph and the performance of this motor too is impressive. When charged using a regular charger, the Ola S1 electric scooter will take 4.4 hours to fully charge. The S1 electric scooter measures 1859 mm in length, 712 mm in width, and 1160 mm in height. It also has a segment-leading wheelbase of 1359 mm while the ground clearance is measured at 165 mm.

On the features front, the Ola s1 electric scooter comes with a touchscreen instrument cluster that shows a ton of information, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, music, and many other features that make it a VFM purchase when compared to the rivals. While the system runs on the Move OS 2.0 right now, the new Move OS 3.0 updates will soon be rolled out.

The Ola S1 will be available at a starting price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi) as a part of the introductory offer. While the bookings for the scooter are open for Rs 499, the deliveries will begin only from September 7, 2022. Once launched, this electric scooter will take on the rivals like the TVS iQube, Ather 450 Plus, Bajaj Cheetak, Simple One, and other electric scooters available at this price.
