The Mahindra XUV700-rivalling Tata Safari will get a major facelift update next year
Tata Motors is currently one of the best-selling car brands in the Indian market and offers an extensive portfolio that includes affordable family hatchbacks, capable SUVs, and VFM EVs. The Indian carmaker is all set to launch as many as 5 new cars in India next year and here are all the details that you should know about these upcoming Tata cars in 2023.
Top 5 Upcoming Tata Cars In 2023 In India
Tata Harrier Facelift
The Tata Harrier is currently one of the most VFM and feature-rich offerings in the country and gives stiff competition to the rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, and the Kia Seltos. From what we know so far, the new Tata Harrier facelift will get a long list of cosmetic updates, an updated cabin, new features, and better safety tech. The SUV will also boast a new front fascia that will be largely dominated by a new front grille, new headlights, new top-mounted LED DRLs, revised bumper design, and new dual-tone alloy wheels. Furthermore, it also gets new LED tail lights and revised rear styling. Inside, we are expecting the brand to offer new features like a touchscreen infotainment system, updated instrument cluster, new interior colour schemes and a long list of new features that were earlier missing from the package. In addition to the new features, the new Harrier facelift is also expected to be offered with better safety tech including ADAS. The ADAS safety tech comes with features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind spot detection, lane assist and others. No major updates are expected to be offered in terms of the powertrain options and the Harrier facelift will continue to be offered with the same 2.0 L diesel engine that comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. In addition to this, the rumours also suggest that the Harrier facelift is also likely to be offered with a new turbocharged petrol engine. More details are yet to be known.

Tata Safari Facelift
Just like the Tata Harrier facelift, the new Safari facelift will also be offered with similar changes as the Tata Harrier facelift and will boast a new front fascia, new features, and better safety tech. In addition to an updated front fascia, the new Safari will also be offered with new dual-tone alloy wheels and refreshed rear styling. We will see similar changes being offered inside and the new Safari will get a new and better infotainment system. On the features front, the new Safari facelift will get features like a large sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated seats, push-button start, connected car tech, and more. The powertrain options too will be similar and the new Safari will take on the rivals like the MG Hector Plus Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, and more. Moreoer, it will also be offered with similar ADAS tech as the Harrier facelift and will get features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind spot detection, lane assist and others.

Tata Altroz EV
The Tata Altroz EV was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and will be the first premium hatchback to be offered with an electric powertrain. From what we know so far, the new Altroz EV is likely to make its debut at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 and will share the same Tata Ziptron electric powertrain with Tata Nexon EV. Just like the Nexon EV, the Altroz EV is also likely to be offered with multiple battery pack options. On the design front, the new Altroz EV will get a new closed front grille, new alloy wheels, and refreshed bumper design. In addition to this, the new Tata Altroz EV will also get new and exclusive colour shades that will set it apart from the standard iterations of the car. More details regarding the launch price, specs, features, and launch date are yet to be known.

Tata Punch EV
Tata recently launched the new Tiago EV in the country and is soon expected to introduce the Punch EV in India for buyers looking for an affordable and capable compact SUV. The Punch EV is likely to share its powertrain options with the Altroz EV and will be offered with features like a digital instrument console, a large infotainment system, multiple battery packs, connected car tech, and a comfortable cabin. The SUV will also feature electric blue highlights and blacked-out trim elements to give it a fresh look. We are expecting the Tata Punch EV price in India to start from Rs 10-12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level versions. More details will soon be shared by the Indian carmaker.

Tata Nexon CNG
The Tata Nexon is currently one of the safest compact SUVs in the Indian market and is offered with petrol as well as diesel engine options. In addition to this, the brand is also offering the Nexon EV for buyers looking for an affordable and practical electric compact SUV. The Indian carmaker is also said to be working on the CNG version of the Nexon that is likely to hit the showrooms by mid-2023. The Tata Nexon CNG will offer similar looks and a similar features package as the standard versions of the Nexon. The Nexon CNG will take on the rivals like the upcoming Maruti Brezz CNG.
