Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the first-ever compact SUV from Toyota Kirloskar Motor. The new model becomes a direct rival of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. Soon, it will even lock horns with its mechanical twin, Maruti Grand Vitara. The new SUV is available with 1.5-lite mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid petrol engine options. The former is a Suzuki-sourced 1.5-litre K-Series mild-hybrid petrol engine that outputs 100 bhp and 135 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The other engine option is that of a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine that offers 91 bhp and 122 Nm from the gasoline motor and 79 bhp and 141 Nm from the electric motor. The peak fuel mileage is rated at 27.97 kmpl.
