The upcoming next-gen KTM 390 Adventure will offer better off-road capabilities, a better powertrain, and a longer features list
The KTM 390 Adventure is one of the most capable offerings in the brand’s line-up and is offered with a long list of features and a lightweight platform. The brand is expected to soon launch the updated 2023 version of the bike soon which was recently spied testing. Here are all the details that we know about the upcoming next-gen KTM 390 that you should check out if you are also soon planning to buy a new adventure bike in the country.
Next-Gen KTM 390 Adventure
For starters, the test mule spied could be an R version of the standard upcoming next-gen model of the bike. This new bike is soon expected to make its debut somewhere in 2023 and is likely to feature 21-inch front wheels and 17 or 18-inch wheels at the rear. Furthermore, the bike appears to feature stiffer USD forks at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear.

The upcoming iteration of the bike is also likely to be underpinned by a new chassis and swingarm setup which is also expected to be offered with the upcoming KTM 390 in the country. The KTM 390 was recently spied testing in India ahead of the launch.
If reports are to be believed, the upcoming 390 Adv will boast strong off-road capabilities and is likely to utilise Bybre brakes and a new underbelly exhaust setup. For a quick comparison, the other bikes in the KTM enduro and dirt bike portfolio feature a high-mounted exhaust system to maximum water-wading capability.

The bike is also expected to get a rally-bike-inspired exterior design language which will be largely dominated by a dirt-bike style fender and a tall, double-stance LED headlamp. In addition to this, it is also expected to be offered with a new TFT instrument console. Needless to say, features like ABS, electric start, digital fuel meter, mobile connectivity and other standard safety features will be offered with this new bike as standard.
The upcoming next-gen KTM 390 ADV was spied testing next to the upcoming 390 Enduro which featured a long list of additional accessories including luggage mounts and aux lights. For those wondering, the upcoming KTM 390 Enduro will be more or less similar to the ADV model and will be based on the same platform and will share the same powertrain and suspension setup. A few of the styling changes will differentiate the two bikes.
